When We Rise is an eight-part American docudrama miniseries about the history of LGBT rights advocacy in the United States from the 1970s to the 2010s. This documentary is a follow up to CNN Films’ 2013 “Girl Rising” which presented girls’ stories from around the world and explained how the power of education can change the world. The film, titled Still We Rise, was directed by Molly Knight-Raskin and Ben Niles, and shares the inspiring story of three young nurses working to tackle mental illness in Liberia. Molly Knight-Raskin, a member of the StrongMinds Advisory Board, recently completed a documentary film on mental health in Liberia.
