The Fire Department's mission is to prevent the loss of life and property. Each December, Santa teams up with the East Lake Firefighters to visit the children of the East Lake community.

Eastlake is fortunate to have nearby the important protections of brave Seattle Fire Department employees and their equipment at Fire Station 22, just east of I-5 at 901 E. Roanoke Street. Please help improve our neighborhood preparedness. The primary area covered by the station is the south Nottinghamshire Soar Valley villages of East Leake, West Leake, Normanton on Soar, Sutton Bonington, Kingston on Soar and Gotham. Being very close to the southern boundary of Nottinghamshire East Leake station is often called into support Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service in Loughborough and the northern Leicestershire area. In addition to responding to fires, the Eastlake Fire Department also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials.
