Where To Get Free Real Estate Valuation Data Online

December 11, 2010

I was taking a look around the web earlier, and I found a very interesting post about using online APIs in real estate marketing, particularly about CyberHomes and real estate valuation. Price is one of the most important factors in any business or product, and being able to effectively evaluate the price of real estate is a key factor for agents, not just selling agents, but buying agents as well.

Now if you already have your real estate license, then you probably already have access to your local MLS. However, using third party online tools can give you more hard data about the particular property in question, thus making your negotiations more effective. Check out what Murali Vasudevan says about it:

For those without large budgets to work with, you may want to consider using the only two players left providing valuation data free of charge – Zillow and Eppraisal.

You can get the full details here: http://www.geekestateblog.com/what-is-next-for-cyberhomes-api-subscribers/

Now there are lots of tools online that you can use to accomplish this, but Zillow and Eppraisal are the only ones that are still free (according to Murali). In any event, I just want to keep you up to date with the best tools and resources available, and since these tools are free, that is just a double benefit for you!
